This is a blog of gratitude, updated daily. This blog is the result of a personal challenge: to see how many things I can find to be grateful for. Is there a limit to the amount of good in our lives, in our modern world? I believe the limit doesn't exist.

Bassoons
I am grateful for bassoons because of their fantastic sound. I generally consider them to be the cello of the woodwind section, and I really like the sound of the lower register instruments in an orchestra. I've written a cello and bassoon duet once because they would sound so great together. It's hard for me to explain why the bassoon is awesome. Just listen to a few bassoon pieces, and you'll see (or rather, hear) what I mean. :)
