I have been surrounded by blessings today (not that I'm usually not surrounded by blessings, it's just that I've noticed them more today). I recently celebrated a birthday, and it was today that I was able to celebrate with friends and family. I received presents that were truly unexpected, and yet were very thoughtful. I appreciate all of the gifts and cake and such (not so much the cheesy birthday song...multiple times...in multiple languages and accents).
The best gift I received today, and every day, was the one I expected and appreciated the most: genuine love, respect, and appreciation from the people I care most about. Who could ask for anything more?
