I think I've mentioned before that my favorite part of my job is helping fellow students navigate library resources as they work on class assignments. Today, several students approached me for help in finding resources for a paper (most of them were going to write about some aspect of art history). Knowing I helped them was fulfilling enough, but I especially appreciated their gratitude. Each one of the students told me briefly that they appreciated my help. They also seemed happier now that they had a direction to go in their research.
I am grateful for end-of-semester papers because I'm willing and able to help people in their research and writing.
